It’s pretty obvious at this point that I love swimming. I’m at home in the ocean, the sea, or a pool. Athena is always happiest in the pool, though, and Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort makes spending an entire day in the pool easy and fun. There’s poolside service, towels, chairs, umbrellas, and an activity center. They even provide the sunscreen. We took advantage of all the amenities at Santa Barbara Resort but we utilized the pool the most.
We played games together and used our imagination to create adventure. Cord spun us around so fast that we created little tsunamis in the pool.
He got a great workout throwing Athena in the pool too. She has no fear in the water so the higher she goes, the bigger the smile on her face.
Although Athena doesn’t need a float, she had fun trying to stay above water when Cord launched her in the air. She tried to dive through it too. We also played basketball, shot a tennis ball through the float, and dove for black rocks.
With the right people, Athena and Cord, the possibilities are endless. The pool may have been the medium for fun but these too cuties made it a day full of smiles, laughter, and joy.
