My mother has been such an influence on my life that I dedicate today’s post to her. It may not fit under one of my usual categories, but all that I am and all that I desire in my life comes from the passion, love, humor, and dedication that I experienced from her. She taught me how to laugh, have fun, enjoy life, dream big, and show compassion for everyone that I love.
I love my mother as the trees love water and sunshine – she helps me grow, prosper, and reach great heights. ~Terri Guillemets
It takes time to decorate a 4 bedroom house, especially when you’re moving from a 2 bedroom apartment. After 7 months, we finished the major decorating and painting projects. Our house is now reflective of our personality and lifestyle, and just in time for another move. Here’s a tour:

Ben, over at Flights. Camera. Satisfaction. always catches my interest with his unbelievable photos, catchy titles, and great publications. He’s a British expat living in Geneva, Switzerland. He works full time as a software developer, but his passion is exploring and inspiring others to do the same though his photography.
We love his photography so much that it’s featured weekly on Bucket List Publications. You can find examples here. Thanks for the inspiration, Ben. Returning to Geneva, Switzerland is now on my list.
I was a high school English teacher. For eight years, that’s how I defined myself; for the rest of my life before that, I was a student. I was content in life. I was content with my career. I was content with my location. I was content with my extra-curricular activities. I was content in my marriage. I was content. I thought that was enough. I figured no one actually lives their dream life or finds complete happiness so having a roof over my head, a permanent job, and enough money to get by were plenty. Then I woke up. It literally happened over night. I was no longer okay with “good enough.” I wanted my daily life to be better than vacation. I wanted to feel like I never had to work another day in my life because my job was so great that it was more like play. I have something to offer the world and I’m worth more than a content life. So I did it. I made my dream life a reality. Continue reading →
Last year, we made bucket list dreams come true for a few lucky readers. Brian Bailey of British Columbia, Canada dreamed of heli-skiing at one of the best resorts in the world and we at Bucket List Publications, with the support of Selkirk Tangiers and Revelstoke Mountain Resort, made that dream come true. Another reader, Ian, raced a stock car with GASS Racing School. Others went skydiving, rafting, riding in a limo, and enjoying the luxury of a spa day. We also arranged several weekend getaways and adventures for our devoted followers. You can read about their experiences here. All they had to do was dream; we provided the rest. Do You Want to Fulfill Your Extreme Dream? We have a friend willing to help. Continue reading →
Being able to explore new countries, cultures, and adventures is a dream come true. At 32, I’ve visited 38 countries and participated in countless extreme adventures that I thought only existed in movies and dreams. I mean, who actually pilots a jet pack or a fighter jet? Who jumps from an airplane, rides in a hot air balloon, performs aerobatics in a biplane, and swims with whale sharks all in the same weekend? Bucket List Publications isn’t just a blog or a website; it has helped me live in a dream world. It has made my daily life better than my wildest imagination. Sometimes it’s exhausting just trying to think up my next big vacation or adventure. My imagination/dreams, fellow travel/adventure bloggers, social media, The Trip Tribe, and Great American Days are my go-to sources for travel and adventure inspiration.
I read this post this morning and loved it! I don’t often share the work of others on the blog but this post was definitely ”share-worthy”. Creating a bucket list lifestyle encompasses treating yourself right and learning from your mistakes. This post is a great reflection of those lessons.
Is there one of these that you do often? Are there several? Let’s let the good things catch up.
Bucket List Publications is looking for regular, consistent contributors to publish weekly on http://www.bucketlistpublications.com. We target an audience who is curious to discover something new, unique, and adventurous. Bucket List Publications shows the mainstream traveler that anyone can partake in a great adventure. Travelers need information and the readers of Bucket List Publications benefit from our first-hand experiences. We offer an interactive community that proves that the world is full of limitless possibilities.
Until now, submissions were wide open but we’ve grown so quickly in the last few months that I can’t keep up with the endless list of contributions. Now, we’re looking for 10 regular contributors who publish unique content once a week, and we’ll share the publication on all of our social media sites!
If you think your writing style is a good fit for Bucket List Publications, please email me at email@example.com to discuss the possibilities. Please include a sample of your work, a link to your blog or website, a short summary of your writing experience, and an explanation of why you’re a great fit for Bucket List Publications. We will select the best of the best and set you up with an account on Bucket List Publications.
“The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences,” (Eleanor Roosevelt)
Two years ago, when I started Bucket List Publications, I didn’t have a direction for the site. I haphazardly created a blog, called it lesleycarter.wordpress.com for lack of effort on my part, and started writing. I had no idea it would grow into something I’m proud to say is mine. I had no idea I would travel the world and begin the most adventurous journey of my life. It consumes my thoughts and even my dreams; I am living my greatest passion. At least once a day, I sit in awe thinking about what my life has become. If you do what you love, you truly don’t have to work a day in your life. I am living my bucket list. Do you want to travel with me? I’ve partnered with The Trip Tribe to make that possible. Continue reading →
