I thought I could do it all and it wouldn’t affect me. I was sick when I returned from Fiji, but I kept pushing it. We flew to New Brunswick, Canada, for the holidays and I was burning the candle on both ends – staying up late with family and waking up early with Athena. Our flight back to North Carolina was at 6 am, which equaled a 3:30 am rise but I put on a smile and hopped on the plane. The next day we booked a week in Atlanta and I started packing our bags all over again. Then, Athena got sick and the weeks, or even months, of non-stop travel caught up with me, although I didn’t realize it just yet. Continue reading
No matter how old you are, waking up on Christmas morning only to find a piece of coal in your stocking and a pair of socks under the tree is enough to dampen anyone’s festive spirit. It’s a good job then that we’ve scoured the internet landscape to bring you unique Christmas gift ideas – whether it’s for mom, dad, spouse, kids or even your furry friends.
On Saturday morning, at 7am, we gracefully floated up through the sky with a sea of colors above our heads. As the sun made its first appearance for the day, the golden rays warmed the sky and our world was brighter. We were floating above Atlanta in a basket built for four below a gigantic balloon built for the sky. What a way to experience a sun rise!
