I entered the blogging community less than two years ago. I, like most, didn’t have a following or supporters. At times, I felt like no one was reading what I wrote and I was discouraged, but I had never given up on anything in my life and I wasn’t about to start. Now, a year and a half later, I have over 50,000 followers and more than 15,000,0000 views. That isn’t what I’m most proud of though, although that’s a big one. I’m most proud of the community that I’ve created. Most of my posts see a minimum of 400 likes, 50 comments, and 20 social shares. And I am proud! Encouraged! Blessed! So to everyone that has interacted with me daily and to those that are just getting started, I want to thank you!
When I entered the Biggest, Baddest Bucket List contest with My Destination, I just thought it would be fun to create the video (it totally was by the way). Then, when the votes started coming in by the dozens, I realized just how many people I interact with on a daily basis, most of them I now know by their first name and speak to about all aspects of their life. I may not have come in first place during the voting round, I think I might be in 6th or 7th, but I gained so much more than I ever imagined possible. Your positive words, continuous encouragement and support have been contagious. I find myself wanting to help others more and encouragement them more in return. It is a beautiful cycle. So… once again, thank you and I hope you continue to follow along for years to come.
