Visiting San Diego Zoo can be a completely full day of walking and exploring. After spending 6 hours there yesterday, we’re having a lazy Monday. Rather than working, Athena and I are spending the afternoon at the pool. The zoo animals, like my little monkey, often get tired in the afternoon as well. San Diego Zoo is unquestionably fantastic. With amphibians, birds, insects and spiders, mammals, and reptiles, it’s home to over 3,700 rare and endangered animals representing more than 650 species and subspecies. It’s impossible to choose favorites when there are so many unique animals to see, but we chose our top 5 favorites of the day based on our interaction with them, their cool behavior, and the fond memories we created base on our experiences with them. From great beaches, climate, friendly people, personal interests, world-famous attractions, architecture, history, and culture, there are many different factors that make a city great, let alone top ten!

Balboa Park offers a collection of the world’s finest in one place; and no matter how young or old you are, the San Diego Zoo, the Safari Park, and Sea World are magical experiences. If it’s adventure you’re after, Skydive San Diego is sure to please. Other family-oriented destinations aim their focus almost entirely on the children, whereas San Diego’s attractions have double appeal.
