Given I’m a risk manager in my “real life”, I think the quote about risking the “now” on the bet you may have the future to spend on doing what you really really want, resonated the strongest with me. Great quotes!
I like the first one best. I thought this 3 years ago and it has taken 3 years to get out of the complete disaster which had become my life. ( life is a journey remember) My life is fabulous now so I advise all young people if they make a mistake, own up to it and set about cleaning up the mess. It is worth it when you come out the other side. : ) Off to Japan next year.
Are you bungi-jumping in New Zealand? All my grand children have done it, but I haven’t got round to it yet. but am in training for a glamping holiday!
Wonderful quotes, and you’re obviously living them all.
“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step” I like this one the most. Because we always tend to live in that “we cannot, ‘because’…” thank you! Good luck on your journey. Live laugh and love. =)
They’re all great quotes, but the first one has come to mind a number of times, like when a lava bomb flew over my while watching an active volcano. Looking back, I defintiely think I was doing it right 🙂
Your quotes are awesome! Since I like books as well as traveling, I think my favorite travel quote is the St. Augustine one, “The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”
Travel and meet yourself , as you meet others. When you want to fly, take a dive from the roof top strap yourself, feel the thrill , yell or scream, it is not a dream ..it s leap :))
Oh how I love quotes! Great quotes Lesley! Quotes are inspirations to push us forward….and Lesley you remind me of a great quotes from a wise person – you are an inspiration to push us forward! Thanks again!
These are wonderful inspirational reminders. This quote, especially, made me sit for a while and evaluate how I go about things: “Your Life Is A Product Of Your Thoughts, What You Think About All Day Becomes The Basis Of Your Life.” Thank you for sharing.
Currently living and traveling abroad, I can relate to them all – especially the first. We’ve asked ourselves that same question more than once in our first few months in Costa Rica.
When I was younger, my favorite was your “cover quote” – no routine, ever! Now probably, with some additional wisdom and , my favorite would be the “white dress dance on the beach” 🙂
great quotes! i like the first one the best! i often do that with some physical challenges i signed myself up. and often i will feel so good afterward i want to do it again! hahaha
Very awesome quotes. I’m loving these two: “travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us,” that one is truly awesome. Worthy of a refrigerator magnet. And then “I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list.” Very cool.
One of my favorite quotations is by Cesare Pavese: “Traveling is a brutality. It forces you to trust strangers and to lose sight of all that familiar comfort of home and friends. You are constantly off balance. Nothing is yours except the essential things — air, sleep, dreams, the sea, the sky — all things tending towards the eternal or what we imagine of it.”
Love these! Not about to bungee jump – oh heckie no! But I do have a picture of me somewhere with this giant python around my neck from a magicians act. People thought I was nuts I thought it was awesome!
I love the one about the risk you take by not doing what you want at the time thinking you will buy yourself the freedom to do what you want later in life. So True. Life is too short to keep waiting for the right time, before you know it you’ve spent your whole life sitting around waiting for life to happen, and it has passed you by. I never thought we would move abroad but I am so pleased we did, am loving all the experiences we are having as a little family.
Such a lively quotes 🙂 which you already lived & still going on . . .

The bungee jump is in California at a place called “The Bridge to Nowhere”. The hike to get there is absolutely stunning as well. 🙂
