Exploring Fiji, piloting a helicopter, airplane, glider, jet pack, and biplane, swimming with beluga whales and whale sharks, planning bucket list adventures for others, reaching 10 million blog views, and delivering a beautiful baby sound like a lifetime of accomplishments but they were just part of my 2012 Bucket List. The more unrealistic I am with my dreams and goals, the more I am able to achieve so I’ve created another list for 2013 with equally beautiful dreams. Some people create a bucket list because they are dying; I created one because I want to live.

“The purpose of life, after all, is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experiences.”
– Eleanor Roosevelt
I love #10 so very much! This is a terrific list and I look forward to hearing about these various adventures. When you’re en route to accomplish #32 please wave, as you’ll be visiting our town!
A great accomplishment list! Hope you do!
I’ve followed along your wonderful adventures in 2012 & I’m sure you’ll accomplish what you wish in 2013 — have fun!
Happy 2013 xxx To a wonderful year xxx
The Grove Park Inn is wonderful. I stayed several days over Christmas one year…very magical.
Happy New Year! Good luck with this awesome list! 🙂
You go girl! And if you want to visit Ohio, I will hook you up!
That’s a huge list!
I would not live long enough to do everything on that list, however, I will ride along with you as you accomplish your dreams!
Lesley, I am so proud of your accomplishments and look forward to following your amazing adventures in 2013. You inspire me to go, do, live, and share my blessings with others. My prayer is that 2013 brings more blessings and opportunities than a person can imagine. If you find yourself in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, contact me! For the second year in a row, and with some inspiration from wonderful people like YOU, I’ve made another list of resolutions: http://nicoleandkevin.wordpress.com/2013/01/01/2013-resolutions/
Big hugs and big dreams!
Nicole @ Three 31
p.s. Enjoy Washington, DC. I was there for the first time in June 2012 and LOVED it. Here are a few tips and posts from my trip. The museums, monuments, and food were amazing! http://nicoleandkevin.wordpress.com/?s=washington
Your lists are always both awe-inspiring and just plain inspiring!! Happy New Year!
#16, 17, & 39. Be BLESSED, Mtetar
A bucket list is such a great idea, and I LOVE the Eleanor Roosevelt quote! She was such a great woman!
Do you have a list of your own? Maybe it’s not something you wrote down, but what’s one thing you’d like to accomplish this year?
I want to publish a book, and also polish up my piano skills! I should at least make a list I can look at to keep me on track. Maybe I’ll do that today!
#36 is my favorite!
I love your bucket list, great idea. The Bucket List is also one of my favorite movies. if you have not see it? Please do. I am in the middle of creating my own bucket list, when it is done I will post and let you guys know. Love Happy Me, Roxie
Roxie, how’s the list coming?
You’re zeal for life emits an infectious desire to seize each day……:) Thank you for your support of “Unwalled” in 2012……may God bless and keep you and your family in 2013….all the best!….Kim
Wow that is some list. I’ve only done #19 and that was totally by accident. We were driving and got lost and looked up and said oh Wow there’s the White House. We were shocked b/c of the neighborhood. Very interesting. Making think of creating a list.
Sounds like 2013 is going to be a fun year too for you :).
If you are going to milk a cow, consider making your own cheese ! There are some soft acid cheese you could make without having to purchase rennet etc 🙂
That sounds interesting. I wonder if there are options for making cheese in the Charlotte area? I think I’ll look at it more today 🙂
Nice list! I don’t know if Vermont would be a new state for you, but a visit to the Burlington area and Shelburne Farms would knock off cow milking and the corn maze! Plus, you could add Touring the Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream factory. 🙂 can you tell I’m a Vermont fan??
Shelburne Farms gets a firm second from me. Gorgeous green pastures, adorable goats + chickens + cows, watch people make cheese… yeah. Definitely great.
This is awesome! I think we, Americans especially, settle with life and stop dreaming and hoping. We all need to dream more! http://www.charliemccoin.wordpress.com
Somewhere between being a child and being an “adult” people think that we need to be realistic and have a normal life. My philosophy is the more unrealistic we are with our dreams and goals the more we are able to achieve. It’s worked so far for me 😉
What are some of your dreams for this year?
You have such an awesome spirit!
The best way to achieve our goals is to write them down and then tick them off – good luck with this year’s list 🙂
Hope you cross everything off your bucket list this year 🙂
Thanks for all the adventures … I like # 10 and #36 … can’t wait to go through the list with you on the blog here … 🙂 yea to 2013
Great bucket list!! It was fun to read along and check things off that I have already done (they were a lot of the simpler things, of course!). You have a great 2013 ahead of you!! Happy New Year’s to you!
Wow… look out 2013! #8 has been on my list for the longest time.
Wow you exhaust me. Good luck, I think I may put one of these together….first thing is to sell 5000 copies of my new novel. It is released in March.
Holy Moly, that is one heck of a great list. I have only a couple of things
1. finish my novel – currently in the final stages of editing
2. publish the novel
3. move back to the UK
4. have more fun
much luck with yours, I shall enjoy reading and following your progress 🙂
Your list looks like a Groupon to-do.
And if I was not so cheap, I would add #29 to my list.
I didn’t have to go far to click the ‘like’ button. First thing I read. I barely made it to 22 and began feeling all sorts of motivation. Thank you!
Cheers to living year as if it were our last.
10 million views!!!!!??? Wait. Aren’t you the sweetie that just had a baby as well? Wow, good work.
Super-cool list! I’ve been thinking about doing one, but I’d hate to do it and not follow through… 🙂
How? how? how do you do soooo much. All the best for this year’s adventures. I will be traveling within India this year and if you are in Mumbai some time – do let me know.
15. Visit the Garden of the Gods…….Great place………..
Good luck with your list for 2013. #21 is on my list as well ~ has been for years so I’m hoping to cross it off as done in 2013.
Love this list ladycakes! Once you pop you can’t stop 🙂 xxx

Hello Lesley! I would like to wish my favorite blogger a Happy New Year. I pray God will continue to bless you with good health and strength and the desire to do what you love doing. Leslie, you have been an inspiration to many and certainly to me. God blesses.
Love your list! I can’t wait to read about everything as you accomplish it!
I wish you all the best for your goals in 2013 after reading yours I need to add to my list. However I will leave you to skydiving (not no way I’m jumping out of an airplane unless it’s on the ground)
What a great list! I hope you get to visit Ottawa on Canada day it is a ton of fun and very busy! Wishing you a great new year!
I really wanted to travel overseas again this year but I just bought a house so that’s a much bigger financial commitment that I need to sort out first.
Thanks a lot for the inspiration! I was a little scared to write down my own list for the year but today I decided “what the heck, this is the only way something is going to happen!”. Law of attraction, right? 🙂
Great list. Good Luck accomplishing all of those things!
Great list! I love the ones involving Athena and the Get PADI certified. I used to translate scuba manuals but never got the time to get certified. Maybe I’ll add this to my list.
Happy New Year!
