Why pay for a harbor tour when you can get it for free? Overlooking the stunning blue waters of the breathtaking harbor, The Fairmont Hamilton Princess and Fairmont Southampton hotels offer everything you could possibly need to make your vacation a truly memorable experience including a complimentary ferry. Hop on and off as many times as you’d like and enjoy the beautiful Bermuda waters for free.
Guests may board the complimentary motor yacht Defiance for a 25-minute journey while enjoying the scenery of Bermuda’s coastline and Hamilton Harbor.
The ferry picks up at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess dock directly in front of the hotel and drops off at The Dock at the Waterlot. While you are waiting for the ferry, you can sip on a refreshing drink of your choice and watch local entertainment. I’d suggest the Rum Swizzle or the Dark and Stormy; both are made at the local Goslings factory. I’m sure they offer kid-friendly drinks as well. As for entertainment, we watched and listened to local music as the sun was setting. It doesn’t get much more picturesque.
Just around the corner from The Dock at the Waterlot is the private Fairmont Beach Club in Southampton. It’s walking distance but there is yet another complimentary shuttle service that drops you off directly on the beach.
The ferry gives you access to Hamilton, Southampton, dining, entertainment, the beach, and an ocean tour all for free. Bermuda is at your doorstep. That’s my kind of day!
Is Birdsee still painting there?

Nope, Birdsey passed away several years ago. I believe they still have his studio open and you can purchase prints.

But Birdsey’s daughter is also an artist and very active. We bought a couple of works from her earlier this year to go with the two we have of her father’s.

Also, I’m starting to plan a family vacation for the Fall and would love your thoughts on where to go. Looking for a tropical locale that’s family friendly. My daughter will be 1 around the time of the trip. Let me know if you have any recommendations based on your travels.

Hmm. I think it would be in one’s best interests to explore the respective merits of *both* the Rum Swizzle and the Dark and Stormy. Purely for purposes of comparison, of course. Solely for furthering one’s basic appreciation for the mixologist’s craft. It might even require several several samples to arrive at any worthwhile conclusion regarding the superiority of one elixir over the other. I mean, these things ought to investigated. Possibly. Yep.

Fantastic photos and an amazing trip. The water is quite similar to the Maldives in its blue color and clarity. I’ve gone snorkeling but diving remains on the list. Looking forward to going diving in the future. Bermuda looks like the perfect place.
