I’ve Got the Blues

San Juan Water & Beach Club Hotel

I’ve got the blues; the Caribbean blues.  From the ocean, to the rooftop pool, San Juan Water Beach Club Hotel is a turquoise paradise. The entire decor takes its cue from the transparent waters of the Caribbean Sea, a cool mix of blues that swirl, ripple, and cascade throughout the building. Coupled with crisp whites, the blues come alive and keep you in the beach atmosphere even in your room.

Our room is spotless, the king bed is comfortable with high-end linens and pillows, the service is exceptional, and there is a mini-fridge as well as a large office desk. BUT you can find that at most resorts around the world. So what’s noteworthy? Well, we’re on the ninth floor overlooking the beach with a wall of windows and a massive balcony. That’s my paradise! Our Room - San Juan Water & Beach Club

I was impressed with the view from the room until I saw the view from the pool. It just keeps getting better.

For at least an hour today, I had the entire rooftop pool to myself. I floated around with my eyes to the blue skies, only getting out to order a drink or watch the kiteboarders in the ocean.

Tonight, I had so much sand in my bathing suit that the entire bathroom floor was covered when I took it off. My skin is already glowing from a day in the sun and Darren just told me that I had salt crusted on my eyebrow even after I took a shower. My hair is matted from getting tossed around in all directions while riding the waves and sand is in the sheets because I put my feet up on the bed. That’s my kind of day! I’ve got the blues… in a bad, bad way and tomorrow I’m going to get them again.

  2. I like your kind of blues – much better than mine have been recently! 🙂 Hopefully over the next few days I can show you the Blue waters of Lake Thun in Switzerland whilst I’m there.

  3. My grandmother lives in Puerto Rico. I’ve gone to San Juan countless times. I love seeing pictures of Puerto Rico. I so want to go back again soon. Great post and review. I’ll be checking that hotel out.
