We’ve been discovering the best of the best for adventure, dining, accommodations, relaxation, and outdoor fun in Montreal since moving here last year and we all agreed that our favorite experience in or around the city so far has been with SkyVenture Montreal. We defied the law of gravity in an indoor freefall simulator and we knew we’d be returning soon. Our first experience with SkyVenture was in June and Cord mentioned that it would make a great birthday present. I was elated at the thought of returning. I booked us again and we returned as a birthday surprise. Continue reading

Sea Marina Del Rey with Mojo
It’s no secret that I love sailing. There isn’t much that makes me happier than spending an afternoon on the ocean with my family. For the last few weeks, we’ve been living in Playa Del Rey, California and we’re within walking distance to Marina Del Rey. Watching the boats sail by brings up my happiness level tenfold but, of course, I want to be on every one of them. After looking into the sailing options from Marina Del Rey, I found Mojo Sailing. We booked an afternoon with Captain Jim and enjoyed the best part of the day from aboard Mojo. Continue reading

I Finally Crossed Scuba Diving Off My Bucket List
I’ve been talking about scuba diving for the entirety of Bucket List Publications. It was on my first bucket list when I created the site and it remained on the list year after year. The fear consumed me and took over. Failure after failure, I thought I’d never actually accomplish that one check mark. I tried and had a panic attack. I tried again and still couldn’t get over it. Well, hell yes! I finally went scuba diving and it was in one of the most beautiful places in the world – Hawaii. Thanks to Aqua Zone Scuba Diving and Snorkeling Center, I can finally say I crossed scuba diving off my list for the first time and I can guarantee it won’t be the last. Continue reading
Experience is the Greatest Gift
Whenever someone asks me what I want as a gift for any occasion, my mind always goes directly to flights, travel, and experience gifts. Experience is the greatest gift; I’ll take it over “things” any day. Being able to explore new countries, cultures, and adventures is a dream come true. At 36, I’ve visited more than 100 countries and participated in countless extreme adventures that I thought only existed in movies and dreams. Bucket List Publications isn’t just a blog or a website; it has helped me live in a dream world. It has made my daily life better than my wildest imagination. Sometimes it’s exhausting just trying to think up my next big vacation or adventure. My imagination/dreams, experience gift websites like Great American Days, and Instagram are my go-to sources for travel and adventure inspiration. Continue reading
Living It Up with Cloud 9 Living
What did you do today? Oh I just did aerobatics in a T-6 Warbird around Mt. Baldy in California, topping out at 220 mph and 4 G’s. Just the typical Wednesday, right? That’s not even typical for an adrenaline junkie, but it way my afternoon. Today was freaking awesome. If you’d like a more humble Lesley, wait for the next post. If you want to hear about my epic adventure thanks to Cloud 9 Living and Aviator Flight Training… Continue reading
knowledge Breeds Comfort – Diving with Great White Sharks
There are some things I never thought I’d do in my life. Some experiences are so petrifying that they are unfathomable. That was cage diving with great white sharks for me. It combines all of my greatest fears in one situation. Using a regulator in the water, being surrounded by massive, man-eating monsters in the ocean and being confined to a cage were the epitome of torture, but I learned that knowledge breads comfort in even the most terrifying situations. Continue reading
A Glimpse of a Great White Shark with Islander Charters
Cage diving with great white sharks at Guadalupe Island with Islander Charters was one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. Their beauty, grace and body language are far beyond anything I imagined possible. Continue reading
My Cage Diving Adventure with Islander Charters Begins
Tomorrow, I will embark on a cage diving adventure with Islander Charters. I’ve always been adventurous but marine life has been my greatest fear. Even small, harmless fish have made me nervous about being in the water. I’ve come a long way since my days of running from minnows. I’ve had encounters with dolphins, beluga whales, whale sharks, Galapagos sharks, manta rays, sting rays, seals, and reef sharks but nothing has compared to this. I’m about to face my fears head on.
