After last nights late arrival and late dinner with just a tad of some tasting involved, we decided to sleep in until the manager of the EM Winery, Elenovo, Alberto, arrived. And arrive he did and promptly strode out showing us the incredible design that had been used for the Winery. The production site is completely underground and producing nearly 1 million bottles of good quality wine every year, not only being sold in Bulgaria but also exports to Germany, UK, Spain, Italy and also the US. Waking up earlier than the crow of the cockerel on day four in Bulgaria with VisitBulgariaOn, we managed to rustle up a coffee and a sandwich for our early departure. Turning left out of our complex, we spotted half a dozen deer dancing across the road and disappearing into the murky gloom of the forest, too quickly for me to be able to shoot them… with my camera. After breakfast on day three in Bulgaria with VisitBulgariaOn, we set off to a close village to see the restored monastery and visited the famous monastery of St. Kuzma and Damian which is open for people to stay over and enjoy the fabulous peace and quiet as well as the magnificent views overlooking “The Valley Of The Thracian Kings”.
