After 2 years of extensive travel around the world, I’ve chosen my five favorite luxury resorts. These establishments stand apart for their personalized approaches, creativity, extraordinary physical attributes, impeccable standards of excellence, and extensive amenities. They are the ultimate in luxury and sophistication. I’ve only included resorts that I’ve visited in the last two years. While there are thousands of resorts I’d like to consider, I have to cross them off my list first. Continue reading

Not Exactly Roughing It
Beaver Creek Lodge, despite its name, is anything but an ordinary mountain lodge. Located at the base of Beaver Creek Mountain in Colorado’s Vail Valley, this sprawling, 72-one-bedroom-suite property is known for its contemporary take on a traditional mountain resort. With endless amenities and a central location in the Beaver Creek Village, staying at Beaver Creek Lodge is not exactly roughing it. After only three days at the resort, I feel in love. I actually discuss the possibility of living in Colorado in the near future with my family because it has so much to offer.

Most Sportsmen Like on the Colorado River
Yesterday, we rafted the Shoshone section of the Colorado River with Lakota Guides. Our raft was filled with two other travel journalists and a PR “Story Teller”, Nicole, from the agency that represents Beaver Creek Lodge. We all had a blast and although it wasn’t the most intense whitewater rafting experience, it was the most fun. Nicole’s eager willingness to try anything thrown her way made my adventure that much more enjoyable. She “rode the bull”, laughed when she went for an unplanned swim, stood up at the front of the raft as we spun it around and tried to knock her into the water, and continuously smiled throughout the day. If there was a “Most Sportsmen Like Award” for first time rafters, Nicole would be the winner. Thanks, Nicole! You are a pleasure to be around. Continue reading
Is This a Dream?
Today I was asked, “Are you forgetting what your home looks like? You sure have been on the move lately!” and it made me think about my whirlwind adventures in the last two years and reminded me that this month officially marks two years of blogging. Since starting Bucket List Publications, I’ve visited more than a dozen states, four provinces, and 8 countries. I’ve participated in the most extreme adventures and I’ve made life-long friends. I created something I am proud to say is mine. This weekend I’m in Colorado visiting Beaver Creek Lodge on a press trip and I’ve come to realize that this is the accumulation of all of my wildest dreams come true. Continue reading
