    • Thank you Sandra. I always try to make the best of it and make everyday something.

I always wanted to see 30 countries by the time I was 30. When I reached that goal, I really needed to decide what I wanted next. Creating a bucket list was the best thing I ever could have done. It gave me new perspective. I’d suggest it to anyone looking for something more in life.

I’ll be sure to check out your blog.

      Thanks for posting

Thanks for the kind words and Happy Holidays,

      • Wow! 30 countries by 30– that is awesome! My current goal is to hit all five continents by the quarter century mark, but I’ll be far from having seen 25 countries. I may have to consider this a new challenge!

Anyways, your blog looks great! I’m new to this blogging thing so taking inspiration from populated and well organized blogs. All the best in the new year of travels and adventures!

I’m the happiest I’ve ever been just watching the baby grow and develop. I never thought I could love something so much and I know that will only get stronger. Do you have children?

Things will change when the baby arrives, I’m sure, but I will never stop traveling and searching for adventure. Now, I’ll have someone else, along with my husband, to enjoy it with me.

Thanks for reading, and keep the comments coming; they are appreciated.

  2. Lesley, I’m exhausted just reading about your adventures. Your Normandy trip brought back memories, and Ireland is on my to do list, although I have been to Scotland — which I found completely captivating. By the way, thanks for “liking” my recent post, “Bloomin’ Update 10: Autumn Joy.” Happy Travels!

    • Kevin,

Scotland is a must see for me, although it may take me a couple of years to get there now. I think there are a lot of similarities between Scotland and Ireland especially when it comes to the great people. I’m from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and Cape Bretoners also have that great attitude and friendly demeanor. Have you ever been to Cape Breton or Nova Scotia or Canada for that matter?

Thanks for reading and keep the comments coming; they are appreciated.

  8. Hi Lesley,

As others have said, thanks for “Liking” my blog posts. By reading yours, I’ve been impressed in many ways. First, I’m amazed at how you’ve posted so many blogs in such a short amount of time. It takes me days to write each one. Second, I love your adventuresome spirit and passion for jumping and flying. Third, I’m enjoying the similarities of our blogs – both are about weddings and family life (though I won’t be having a baby – good luck to you) and travels. Fourth, as a new blogger, I’m learning from you about how to publicize your blog – through “likes,” comments and networking with other bloggers or blog readers. Good advice.

All the best to you in your new role as a mother and in future travels.

Since meeting my husband, new adventures have been added to my life, including the soon-to-be mother experience. Although I do try to find other blogs that I really enjoy and I take the time to “like” and comment on them, blogging is more about put my life and memories out there for me and my family.

      Good luck with your blog and thanks for taking the time to comment;

  9. Hi Lesley.

Because you have those amazing experiences, have You tried to drive fast on German freeways? Maybe You know that there are no speed limits! We are visiting Germany just due to that every two years, just to enjoy the speed. To drive fast among other cars which also are driving fast is an experience which one cannot forget. It competes with experiences in amusement parks. 🙂

If You take a look at my About me page, then You’ll see me car and speedometer of my car. The photo is taken from my YouTube video. My wife was making the video.

    Happy experiences!

  13. It seems that you have more than enough on your bucket list to keep you busy… and with a baby! Take time to enjoy every moment because the days start to slip off the calendar fast and it’s not how much you do in a year but how much of it you share with loved ones. I’m sure you will have no problem juggling your new list and new baby.
One of my favorite places was Angkor Wat. My husband & I went in 2008 because he had a solo photography exhibit in Kyoto and we were on that side of the world. The temples are sacred, the people are wonderful. And now our art helps raise money through Friends Without a Border for the Children’s Hospital of Angkor Wat, started by a photographer Kenro Izu. Giving back is one of life’s pleasures.
I enjoy reading your blog – photos are great and the things you have done so exciting. Such a rush.
Hot air ballooning is wonderful, my brother and I went years ago. My now husband and I went zip-lining in a rain forest in El Valle, Panama… we’re a lot older and our list is smaller but we enjoy sharing each and every moment together. 😉

Thanks for liking my blog (If you’re a Conservative in Alabama….) I just read your latest piece (The Kindness of Others) and I agree with you about blogging. Many people don’t seem to understand the value of Social Media, but it opens up a world that would be missed if we didn’t take that risk and write. I read that you have baby in process :). My youngest daughter just had her first baby in August and I’m going back to Colorado for my second trip in three months to see my daughters and grandchildren. We also have a wonderful six year old boy, so I have a hard time figuring out whether to be the parent or the grandparent around my grandchildren.

Take care and I hope you have a perfect pregnancy. Give your child your sense of adventure and everything will fall into place!

    • Paul,

Your situation sounds similar to my parents. With a 9 year old sister, titles and roles can be confusing. All I care about, though, is that my mother will be coming to visit when the baby is born and she’ll be bringing my beautiful, amazing 9 year old sister with her. 🙂 I think that having children with ages across the spectrum keeps you young at heart 🙂

Enjoy your travels and your family; let me know how the trip goes.

The question is how do you have the time to do all those posts? For me, when I do travels, I am so focused on photography work that it takes away from the time I need to do my postings. Amsterdam always stands out to me as a fun city, and I really like the picture you have of the LA skyline. I am new to blogging. I think I started about august. If you have any tips as far as how I can increase followers, or people who are interested in what I write, feel free to share. I am currently in Dubai, and I will be reading your blog as time permits. Maybe I can get a few ideas, but bungee jumping and some of the other pics I have seen are not my cup of tea just yet!!
