22 days at sea without internet access; it’s hard to believe that’s actually something I signed up for. Will I be suffering from withdrawals or liberated from online chains? Only time will tell. While I think I will find other life-changing things to do with my time, Bucket List Publications will not unless I ask for help. Continue reading

Childlike Wonder at Hilton Hawaiian Village, Oahu
Regardless of having a child or not, Darren and I are just two big kids. We often choose our accommodations based on the pool, the water slide, water sports or other fun activities and the proximity to the beach. We are out enjoying the grounds and barely see the room unless it’s time for sleep. Unique adventures are the icing on the cake and we pack in as many as humanly possible. With 5 pools, a lagoon filled with water activities and local tours offered from the hotel grounds, Hilton Hawaiian Village is the ideal resort for our fun-loving family. Continue reading

Experience it all at Windjammer Landing, St. Lucia
Family vacations don’t have to be boring. Traveling with toddler can be as adventurous as traveling solo if you’re creative and use the resources available. Athena and I just returned from the luxurious Windjammer Landing in St. Lucia where we were able to visit a waterfall, ride a catamaran, snorkel in the ocean, swim in the pool, kayak the bay, do the limbo, and run along the beach. I also rode “Big Mama”, toured the bay and snorkeled, played on the ocean trampoline, and water-skied while Athena enjoyed the Jacquot Fun Club, made her own tie dye t-shirt, danced, sang, and played with other kids. I was able to manage all of this in one week as a solo parent with a toddler; Windjammer Landing makes it possible for anyone.

Jaw-Droppingly Beautiful Villa at Windjammer Landing, St. Lucia
When we drove up to the front doors, I couldn’t believe this was my villa for the next week. This must have been what Cinderella felt like during her first night in the castle with Prince Charming. I’ve visited dozens upon dozens of resorts, but nothing could have prepared me for what I saw at Windjammer Landing today. The luxurious estate villas are like peering into the lives of Lifestyles of the Rich ans Famous. Would you like a tour? Continue reading
Travel is Killing Me
“My dear,
Find what you love and let it kill you.
Let it drain you of your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness.
Let it kill you and let it devour your remains.
For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it’s much better to be killed by a lover.
~ Falsely yours”
― Charles Bukowski
Travel is my love. It’s deeply rooted in my soul. Writing and owning Bucket List Publications has brought the world to my doorstep. This year I visited 14 new countries and returned to many of my favorites from the past. It has consumed me. I’m always planning my next trip. It’s a drug and I’m high all the time. But it’s not a bad thing. I’m going to die doing what I love and taking as much in as humanly possible.
I just returned from a four day trip to Club Med Cancun where I tried trapeze, kayaking, snorkeling, windsurfing, swimming in a cenote, catamaran sailing, dancing, and riding a bull. I’m exhausted, but tomorrow I will take the over-night flight to St. Lucia and start another new adventure at Windjammer Landing. I’ve found what I love and I’ll give it everything I have.
Have you found what you love?
7 Amazing Activities at Club Med Cancun Yucatan
My recent visit to Club Med Cancun Yucatan gave me an intense workout and allowed me to live an extended weekend of bucket list adventures. While others enjoyed sun bathing on the white sandy beaches, swimming in the refreshing pools, swaying gently on one of the many hammocks, sipping specially made cocktails, or relaxing at the spa, I often missed meals or grabbed something on the go because I wanted to take in as many activities as humanly possible. Have you tried them all? Which ones are on your list? Continue reading
