The Natural Place to Be – Strolling through Jetton Park in Lake Norman, NC

Since moving to North Carolina 5 months ago, we spent so much time searching for the Jetton Park, Lake Norman, NCbest location to build a house that we neglected the natural parks and beauty that surround us. Today, we found Jetton Park in Lake Norman and it was the perfect place to get back to nature. A stunning beach, lush trails, and quiet picnic sites filled the 106 acre lakefront park.

We strolled through the park slowly and relaxed as we took it all in. The trails were paved with leaves freshly fallen from the surrounding trees. Families, joggers, and people walking their dogs littered the path as much as the fallen leaves. With each friendly “hello” and “how are you”, we felt more and more at home. The people of North Carolina were the biggest draw to the area and we are constantly reminded that we made a great decision for our family. Continue reading

Top Ten Tourist Attractions – Bucket List Publications

Top Ten Tourist CollageThe Top 10 World’s Most-Visited Tourist Attractions article was received with skepticism. With more than half of the spots in the US, it was questionable on how the “attractions” were measured. The good part about the list is that it was controversial; I actually liked that it brought a lot of comments and evoked thoughts about what should really be on the list.  After touring 34 countries, I decided that I would make my own “Top Ten Tourist Attractions” list. While I can’t address places I haven’t seen nor can I speak for anyone else, these ten attractions stood out above the rest for me. I’m certain that the list will change with time; it will most likely change in a few weeks after I visit Fiji, but for now… these are my top ten tourist attractions.

You can share your list at All articles, posts, lists, and photos selected for publication will appear on Bucket List Publications with a direct link to your blog.

want to live!

What’s on your bucket list? You can submit your bucket list or your bucket list adventures to Bucket List Publications or [email protected] for publication. Share your goals and find inspiration in the accomplishments of others.

The more unrealistic we are with our dreams and goals, the more we’re able to achieve!

My life list is ever-changing, always growing; that’s why I create a yearly list. My 2012 Bucket List included things like fly a jetpack, swim with whale sharks, experience aerobatics in a biplane, and delivery my baby girl.  With only a few items left, I’ve been thinking about my 2013 list.

Overall, these are the things I’d like to accomplish in my life. I usually choose from these each year and add new ones as I see fit.

Medieval Amusement Park for Adults and Children: The Carolina Renaissance Festival

I’m no stranger to dinner theaters or interactive entertainment shows, but I’d never been toCarolina Renaissance Festival a Renaissance festival so when I heard that Carolina hosts one of the most interactive entertainment festivals ever created with wonderful amusements and entertainment around every corner, The Carolina Renaissance Festival, I knew I had to check it out. The 20 acre Carolina Renaissance Festival is a 16th century European style art and entertainment festival combining outdoor theater, circus entertainment, charming cottages and castles, an arts and crafts marketplace, a jousting tournament, kitchens and pubs, a petting zoo, and an unusual collection of people-powered rides and games of skill.  As a family, we took advantage of the skill games, animal encounters, and a tournament of champions joust. The festival was both unique and entertaining with enough “bizarre” to keep us guessing what was going to appear before our eyes next.
