Mega Fun Parc Omega

I thought Parc Omega was going to be an interesting wildlife encounter but it was way beyond my expectations. Parc Omega is a safari park in Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours, Quebec. A 12 km nature route takes you along lakes, meadows, small valleys, forests, and rocky hills to meet moose, elk, bison, wolves, and bears all within their natural environment. Two Rivers Diverged into the Wildlife

With over 50 species of native and non-native animals and birds, a petting zoo, hiking and cross-country ski trails,Two Rivers Wildlife Park Cape Breton, Nova Scotia wagon and sleigh rides, a “U-fish” pond, and a children’s playground, Two Rivers Wildlife Park is one of my favorite place to go with my brother and sister, and now Athena, when I’m in Cape Breton. Two Rivers Wildlife Park offers a unique experience to everyone from the avid nature lover to the casual observer. The petting zoo still holds my attention even in adulthood and we can’t help but smile at the otters as they splash and play in their habitat. It may be a little difficult to find, but two roads, and rivers, diverge into the wildlife and we’ve made them the path to be followed. Continue reading

Oasis in Orange County, CA – Santa Ana Zoo

The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park, nestled in the midst of an urban setting, is an oasis in Orange County. It was founded in 1952 by Joseph Prentice, who requested at least 50 monkeys be kept at all times. It has since expanded to nearly 20 acres with a rain forest exhibit, several rare and endangered species, a walk-through aviary, a train ride, and a carousel. Last weekend, we roamed the rainforest, trekked through the aviary, relaxed by the waterfall at Amazon’s Edge, and explored the grounds on the Zoofari Express. With a personal, behind-the-scenes tour from the Director, Kent Yamaguchi, we experienced an escape in Orange County without the price tag of a major attraction. Continue reading
